Monadnock SHRM

The Greater Monadnock Society for Human Resource Management is a non-profit organization of Human Resource professionals, small business owners, students, and those who have an interest in HR including private and public sector employers in the Greater Monadnock area.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors provides leadership for the Greater Monadnock SHRM chapter through setting broad policies, direction and priorities of the organization; developing and maintaining the organization’s mission, vision and values; developing effective succession plans for open board and other volunteer positions; providing fiduciary oversight; recruiting and retaining active members; upholding SHRM’s vision, purpose and values; and providing professional development opportunities for all members.

Candi Dionne, MBA, PHR, SHRM-CP | President: Candi is currently the Human Resource Manager for HCP Packaging, USA. Candi has a Master’s in Business Administration from New England College of Business and an over 10 years’ experience in the human resource field. Her career has focused on human resources in the both medical and manufacturing. She has been a member of the board focusing on certification for several years.\

Barbara Hecker, SPHR, CEBS, SHRM-SCP | Past President:  Barbara is currently a Human Resources Consultant for The Main Street America Group Insurance Company (NGM).  She has worked for MSA Group for over 15 years and previously worked as a Human Resources Manager for Markem Image and Monadnock Family Services. Her community involvement in the Keene area included various PTA officer positions within SAU 29, Keene High School soccer and swim team booster club president, Keene High School Parent Advisory Committee, Valley Gators Swim Club manager, mentor partnership with Keene High North Campus students, and is currently serving on the board of directors for Project Search, a non-profit organization geared towards preparing developmentally disabled individuals for job opportunities. Barbara earned her B.S. degree from the University of Pittsburgh and has been actively involved in the chapter for over 14 years securing sponsorships, serving on the programming committee and holding various officer positions on the Board of Directors.

Sue Ells

Sue Ells

Sue Ells | Treasurer: As the Human Resources Manager of the Monadnock Food Co-op, Sue is responsible for all aspects of HR including recruiting, orienting, payroll, benefits, safety and employee recognition. Prior to this, she was HR Manager for EMF Inc. for 25 years and still serves as a consultant to them. She is on the Board of Trustees of the Stratton Free Library in West Swanzey where she serves as Treasurer.

Jaclynn Stromgren

Jaclynn Stromgren | Secretary: Jackie is the Admin Assist/HR for  Office Manager/HR for Noyes Volkswagon. Her core responsibilities include (but are not limited to) accounts receivables and payables, bad debt collections, human resources, advertising, direct deposits, 401k accounts, etc. Jackie has a business management degree and has attended numerous educational seminars for accounting, human resources, and business management.

Donna Whipple, PHR, SHRM-CP | Member at Large: Donna is a District Human Resource Manager at Home Depot overseeing HR functions in ten locations in VT and NH.  A lifelong resident of New Hampshire. Donna has over 30 years of business experience which includes previous roles as Corporate Recruiter at Tire Warehouse and Regional Training Manager for Ames Department Stores, Inc. Donna graduated from Granite State College with an Associate’s Degree in Business Management.  Donna has been  actively been involved in the chapter for over 14 years, previously serving as Membership Chairperson. Kim May | Member at Large:  Kim is the Human Resource Manager at Cedarcrest Center for Children with Disabilities in Keene.  Originally from Texas, Kim moved to the Monadnock Region in 1989 where she attended Franklin Pierce College obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Social Work & Counseling; she later returned to FPC to earn her MBA.  Kim has worked in Social Services and/or Healthcare in the region for 20+ years.  She serves on the Board of Directors for Monadnock Area Peer Support Agency and lives in Keene with her two teenage daughters.

Debbie Chauvin| Member at Large:

Debbie is a Human Resources and Management Professional with extensive experience in employee relations, employment law, recruitment, and management of an HR Partner function for multi-site operations.  Her most recent role was as the Corporate Director of Human Resource at the Yankee Candle Company.  Prior to Yankee Candle Co, Debbie worked for Stow Mills/United Natural Foods as their Warehouse Operations Manager before transitioning her career to HR as their Human Resource Manager.  Debbie has been a member of GMSHRM since its inception, and she is also on the Leadership Team of the Brattleboro Area HR Network (BAHRN).

Jennifer St. Pierre | Member at Large: Jennifer is a Human Resource Coordinator at the Student Conservation Association located in Charlestown, NH. Her responsibilities include recruiting/on-boarding, off boarding, employee relations, compliance, along with a myriad of other general HR functions. She brings five years of HR background and experience to the industry.

Debra Norris | Member at Large: Debra Norris | Member at Large: Debra is the Human Resource Coordinator for Raynor Dental Keene/Peterborough offices.  She is responsible for hiring, workforce development, interviewing, orientations, data management, benefits, payroll and brings with her a wealth of administrative knowledge. Debra possesses a “take charge” attitude, high energy, and a great sense of humor.  She is a graduate of Keene High School, possesses HR Essentials Certificate and has been involved with the United Way Campaigns, City of Keene, Holidays for Families in Need, and the Pitcher Mountain CSA. She is currently pursuing her SHRM CP certification and has been a member of the Greater Monadnock SHRM since 2015.
