Becoming a Speaker | Presenter
The Greater Monadnock SHRM Chapter holds monthly meetings in Keene, NH on a variety of topics of interest to the human resources, benefits and management professionals in the area. Our monthly meetings are well attended, and we are always looking for experienced presenters that can provide interesting, interactive and thoughtful programs to our membership and guests.
These are volunteer opportunities as the chapter does not provide compensation for the speakers. We expect our speakers to adhere to our non-solicitation policy.
Please contact one of our Program Committee members with any ideas of potential topics you are interested in and most importantly if you have any contacts for speakers who would like the opportunity to present to our group. Your help is very much appreciated.
Our monthly chapter meeting is held at the Courtyard Marriott, 75 Railroad St., Keene, NH from 7:30am – 9:30am on the second Wednesday of each month. Networking and continental breakfast begins at 7:30am. Presentations generally start at 8:15am.
The GMSHRM committees are established to provide the Chapter with special ongoing services. Chapter members are encouraged to seek out the committee chair if they are interested in joining a particular committee. Standing committees include the following.
Program Committee: The primary responsibility of our Program Committee is to identify and recruit speakers for the monthly meetings based upon Chapter member interests. This committee is also in charge of overall monthly meeting coordination. Program Committee chair: Matt Snow email@example.com.
Membership Committee: The Membership Committee is responsible for soliciting and reviewing applications for new members, maintaining the membership roster, and introducing new members at monthly meetings. Committee Chair: Kim May firstname.lastname@example.org)
Communications Committee: The committee is responsible for timely communications to all Chapter members via suitable vehicles. The committee currently e-blasts, maintains this web site, maintains a presence on Facebook and LinkedIn, and advertises via print and electronic media. Contact us at email@example.com
Nominating Committee: This committee develops and presents to the Board of Directors and membership a slate of nominees for officers/directors for the new year.
