GMSHRM Membership Information
You are invited to join the Greater Monadnock Society for Human Resource Management to enrich your professional experience and enhance your skills by taking part in all the organization has to offer. While you will benefit from the knowledge you gain, the organization will also benefit from your experience and expertise. Please read our GMSHRM Statement of Ethics.
Dues paid are for the calendar year. Membership dues are tax deductible for your company as a business expense. The cost to join for the year will depend on your membership status.
Chapter Membership Levels
Professional & Associate Member
$45 if a national SHRM member / $50 for non-SHRM members
Professional Membership is limited to: (a) Those individuals actively engaged in bona fide human resources administration at the exempt level, who devote more than 50% of their time to personnel or human resources management; (b) Faculty members holding an assistant, associate or full professor rank in personnel or human resources at an accredited college or university; or (c) Individuals engaged in occupations with a primary focus in human resources consulting, support and/or outsourced functions and who provide satisfactory proof of membership of SHRM (national). Professional members: Have the right to vote in chapter elections and may hold any of the offices or positions of the Board of Directors.
Associate members may be: (a) Individuals in non-exempt human resources positions;, or (b) Small business owners whose responsibilities include managing human resources; or (c) Those who do not meet any of the foregoing categories, but have a bona fide interest in human resource management. Associate members: Have the right to vote in chapter elections and may be voting members of committees, but may only serve on the Board of Directors as a Member-at-Large.
The Chapter offers free student memberships to those who meet the following requirements: 1.) must be a matriculated college student with a course of study in Business Management, Psychology, or other applicable degree; 2.) must join a committee within the chapter and actively participate; and 3.) must share feedback with the board regarding their Chapter experience. For those who do not meet these requirements dues are set annually at $15. Please contact membership or one of the board members at email@example.com if interested in a free student membership. In Transition Member
Members who become unemployed may have their renewal dues waived, at the discretion of the Board. The Board will review this waiver on an annual basis. You are more than welcome to attend the meetings and network! If you qualify as a Member In Transition, please download the application form to complete and mail to the chapter post office box at the address listed below.
The Chapter may, at the discretion of the Board of Directors, grant Lifetime Membership status to an individual who is retired following active volunteer service in Human Resources and to this organization the GMSHRM Chapter. Lifetime Members shall have the same rights as Professional Members. Please contact the membership committee or one of the board members at firstname.lastname@example.org to determine if you qualify for lifetime membership benefits.
