Human Resource Manger - Monadnock Paper Mills, Inc.

Monadnock Paper Mills, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Manager to oversee all generalist areas of human resources. Responsibilities include managing turnover, recruiting, payroll and benefits administration; driving positive employee relations; monitoring and ensuring compliance with the Company's legal obligations as to the FMLA, ADA, EEO/Affirmative Action, Workers' Compensation, Unemployment, and other employment laws. Safety is also a key focus for the Human Resources Manager who is responsible for ensuring that supervisors are trained on company safety policies and procedures and emphasizing a culture of safety at the location overall

• Strategically lead and tactically execute key HR initiatives that support Monadnock’s strategy.

• Guide leaders and frontline employees regarding company policies, values, HR program administration (benefits, pay and salary) and interpretation to ensure policies and procedures are executed consistently across the site.

• Be responsible for diagnosing organization issues, developing solutions, and implementing an action plan.

• Ensure activities are in compliance with all state and federal employment laws and regulations.

• Partner with leadership teams on performance management.

• Design and execute staffing strategies for exempt/non-exempt hiring needs.

Understanding and experience with most or all of the core aspects of Human Resource Management (employee relations, staffing, labor relations, performance management, leadership development, coaching and training)

• Ability to think strategically and translate concepts into actionable items.

• Communication skills with the ability to effectively present to all levels of the organization.

• Ability to understand the business operations from both a strategic and tactical perspective.

• Previous talent management and organizational planning experience.

• Courage to make tough decisions and deliver difficult messages with professionalism and poise.

• Comfortable working in ambiguous business situations.

• Expertise in developing solutions based upon facts/data analytics.

• Consultative style and approach with the ability to develop credible relationships with business partners.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required; major in Industrial/Labor Relations, Human Resources Management, Psychology, or another related field preferred.

• Prefer at least 5 years prior Human Resources and Leadership experience.

• Working knowledge in all areas pertinent to the management of all HR functions including compensation, staffing, employee involvement, EEO/AAP safety training and policy development.

• Current knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations as it pertains to HR.

• Knowledge of organizational development strategies and adult learning principles.

• Successful experience in leading organizational change.

• Demonstrated ability in conflict management and counseling.

• Excellent communication, organization, facilitation, and creative critical thinking skills are also required. Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization.

• Experience with safety programs, compensation, benefits, recruiting, hiring, and training.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and intranet/internet.

• Labor Relations experience (Grievance Management, Arbitrations, and Contract Negotiations.

We are looking to add a recruiter to our team to support our production, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Field Service, Finance and entry-level recruitment efforts. The ideal candidate will be performance-focused, customer-oriented, and good at managing multiple priorities. This role has the ability to be remote. The Recruiter works closely with the Human Resources team and hiring managers in support of the full-life cycle recruitment process and related activities for a wide range of roles across the US and Canada.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for job posting and advertisement processes; ensures data quality
    • Responsible for sourcing, screening, and selecting qualified candidates
    • Source external candidates using various methods of candidate attraction including job boards, social media, networking, headhunting and maintaining a talent pool.
    • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates
    • Schedules and coordinates candidate interviews
    • Manages the overall interview, selection, and closing process
    • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
    • Addresses frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
    • Responsible for hitting key metrics and SLAs
    • Possible engagement on recruiting projects

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • 1-2 years of experience of full life cycle recruiting
    • A proven track record of successful sourcing and recruiting strategies
    • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring 
    • Results-oriented with ability to work independently and take initiative
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) 
    • Working knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS systems
    • Knowledge of Boolean search
