Session Overview -
Greater Monadnock SHRM Seminar.pdf
The effect of employee wellness on companies’ bottom lines continues to grow more clear. A 2010 Gallup research report entitled The Economics of Wellbeing concludes that thriving employees have 41% lower health costs, 35% lower turnover costs and are 31% more productive. Correspondingly, HR professionals are increasingly called upon to create environments that foster greater wellbeing. This seminar embodies the notion that “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” It will give managers first-hand experience practicing mindfulness to help manage stress and it will offer guidance with healthy eating; furthermore, this workshop will equip HR professionals with several concrete strategies to adapt or implement directly at their sites to cultivate a nourishing, less stressful work environment.
Networking & Informal Discussion Afterward
You are encouraged to stay to chat with fellow GMSHRM members and, perhaps the speaker when available, at the Marriott until 10:00 am. This is in response to member requests to connect with fellow GMSHRM members after the monthly meetings to continue networking and have informal discussions regarding whatever hot topics you are facing. Help yourself to whatever food is still there, but please understand that the Marriott staff will be working to clear the room by 10:00.
RSVP & Guest Policies
Bring an HR friend or colleague! Non-member guests may attend our monthly educational sessions for the nominal charge of $15 each. If you wish to save time that morning, guest registration is available in advance at https://monadnockshrm.org/shrm-services/guest-fee. No advance registration is required for this meeting; please join us! Come share information with fellow HR professionals.
Just a reminder that education sessions are held regardless of weather, as we cannot reschedule meetings due to room and speaker constraints. We hope you can join us!
