Session Overview
Staying up to date with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and regulations not only ensures the safety of your employees, it can increase productivity, save you from fines and protect your business reputation. Employers are responsible for keeping up to date with the standards relevant to their known hazards and making sure all employees are trained on proper safety procedures specific to their duties.
Shannon Prescott, Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer for Construction and General Industry. Shannon’s refresher covers compliance and safety program evaluation & implementation. Including how to complete goals to achieve compliance with OSHA, DOT and DOL regulations. Shannon holds a Property & Casualty insurance license, and is an Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer for Construction and General Industry. She teaches OSHA 10 and 30 Hour courses. .Mental Health First Aid at Work is a training program that teaches participants how to notice and support an individual who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use concern or crisis in a work environment and connect them with appropriate employee and community resources. Mental Health First Aid at Work is a skills-based, experiential, and evidence-based practice.

Shannon Prescott, CWCA, COSS
Shannon is the Director of Risk Control of The Richards Group, serving Business Insurance & Employee Benefits clients with employment practice compliance and safety program evaluation and implementation, helping them achieve compliance with OSHA, DOT and DOL regulations. In addition, she provides First Aid/CPR courses and Mental Health First Aid courses.
Shannon is a licensed Property & Casualty Producer, a Certified WorkComp Advisor, a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist and is an Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer for General Industry and Construction courses.
Shannon serves on the Stone Soup Café Board, the VT Safety & Health Council, her local Youth Commission and is also an active member of the Massachusetts based, Franklin County Young Professionals, currently serving as the organization’s Chairperson.
