Session Overview

Workers are feeling the weight of their personal finances, and recent studies have shown that although people want to be able to save money, plan for retirement and pay off debt, they are often not making meaningful progress resulting in stress. Left unaddressed, financial stress inhibits workplace productivity, creates an imbalance in their personal lives and leaves many workers unable to retire at normal retirement age. The workplace impact of personal financial concerns include the following:

  • 8 in 10 employees worry about their finances at work
  • 3-4 hours is the average time spent on finances at work each month
  • More than 4 in 10 workers say they would be more productive without their current financial worries
