Session Overview:
HR is not only burning out, there is a real crisis with role identity. HR professionals should be (and want to be) strategic advisors, but they are usually stuck in reactive/fire fighter roles focused on policy enforcement and program management (benefits, comp, recruitment, etc.). HR teams are almost always under staffed for what they are asked and expected to do.
As a Fractional HR Executive and Organizational Psychologist the topics I get asked about or work on the most are:
high turnover, low morale or internal conflicts that indicate engagement and cultural issues
talent shortages – the skills gaps and mismatches between job expectations and candidate values
lack of accountability systems, poor leadership behaviors, absent feedback systems
compliance overload (rapid legislative changes) which keep HR focused on transactional items, non-strategic
DEI fatigue/backlash
Duration: 60 minutes
