Session Overview:

In this session, we’ll explore why establishing and maintaining this foundational framework is more critical than ever. We’ll take a Compensation 101 approach to developing your framework. If your organization already has a compensation structure but hasn't reviewed or updated it recently, you’ll still find this session valuable. We’ll provide helpful templates, essential tools, and resources to guide you through the process.

Objective 1:

  • Participants will learn the foundational role job descriptions play in completing a compensation analysis as well as what an Organizational Compensation Philosophy is, its objectives, and the critical linkage to the Organizational Strategic Plan.

Objective 2:

  • We’ll cover factors affecting base pay, different job rating/ranking methods and how to place jobs into grades based on relative worth within the organization.

Objective 3:

  • Benchmarking internal roles to external survey data will be covered as well as how to set ranges for each salary grade. We’ll also touch on aging salary data, salary administration, and the many benefits of having a framework in place.

Duration: 60 minutes
